About the Event

Amador County is home to some of the oldest and best Zinfandel vines in the country and many of us here on Steiner Road use these vines to produce exquisite Zinfandel wines. Spring into Zin is a true celebration of this varietal that has a storied history in Amador County.

 

During the event, you will have the opportunity to explore the Steiner Road wineries and discover the finesse, elegance, history, and diversity of our unique terroir on Amador County’s First Wine Trail. The wineries of Steiner Road will be showcasing a selection of their wines with a focus on Zinfandel. Selections will range from old vines, to blends, current releases, and barrel tastings that will be perfectly paired with unique small food bites or other special offerings.

 

Tickets are now on sale for Spring into Zin 2024! Event tickets are available for $55 and designated driver tickets for $10. Ticket holders will be able to visit up to five of the nine participating wineries.

How it works

You will have approximately 1 hour for your visit at each of the participating wineries on the day of the event and will be able to visit up to five participating wineries during the event. Please place your order on the ticket page for the winery that you will be visiting first at 11am on the day of the event. The winery location you select as your starting location will have your event glasses, wristbands, and event passports. Please select only one winery as your starting location. Reservations are not required at the participating wineries with the exception of selecting your starting location when purchasing your event tickets.

 

Participating Wineries' Event Offerings

 

Bella Grace Vineyards - Spring into the Zin experience with great summertime bubbles at Bella Grace. Our zinfandel and zinfandel blends will be paired with a chicken pesto pasta with sun-dried tomatoes and parmesan cheese followed by tri-tip sliders; both incorporating Bella Grace olive oils & balsamic vinegars. Discounts on selected Bella Grace wines!

D'Agostini Wines - We are so excited to participate in our first Spring into Zin! Join us at D'Agostini for a celebration of Zinfandel with a flight of 3 wines including our sweet style Zinfandel - Zinetta. Enjoy small paired bites prepared by our in-house chef, a meet and greet in the winery with our winemaker so you can learn all about our process here at D'Agostini Wines, as well as special event discounts on all our Zinfandel wines. We can't wait!

Deaver Vineyards - Deaver Vineyards has a deep, rich history in Amador County with over five generations of the family growing wine grapes. Ken Deaver, wearing his trademark denims and cowboy hat currently owns and manages the Deaver Ranch. Ken’s great grandfather planted the original Zinfandel (1860’s) vineyard which is still utilized for our Circa (Old Vine) bottling. Join us at Deaver Vineyards during Spring into Zin as we sample 4 separate Zinfandel offerings including Sparking, Standard, and Port styles. Guests will be served an Italian Wedding Soup with Roll along with Chocolate Biscotti to accompany the Port.

Dobra Zemlja Winery - Join us at Dobra Zemlja Winery (meaning ‘good earth’ in Croatian) as we celebrate all things Zinfandel in Amador County’s first wine cave! We will be pairing a select flight of our ‘Big Amador Reds, No Lightweights' with seasonally inspired mali (‘little’) bites. Guests will have the opportunity to taste our library 2016 Estate Zinfandel and enjoy a barrel tasting of an upcoming vintage of our Estate Zinfandel with our winemaker, Milan Matulich. Event exclusive discounts will be offered on select wines.

Driven Cellars - Join us at Driven Cellars for the celebration of Spring into Zin 2024! We are excited to welcome you to the event with a delicious selection of gourmet goodies paired with our ’20 and ’21 Old Vine Zinfandel and a barrel sampling of our 2017 Zinfandel Port. We will be pouring several wines as you relax on our patio and enjoy the music of She Calls Him Wilson. Special wine discounts available on all things Zin!

Iron Hub Winery - Join us at Iron Hub Winery to savor rich Old Vine Zinfandels with savory, spicy food pairings! Experience spectacular Sierra views while relaxing on our spacious patio. Barrel samplings of our new Zinfandel will allow you to predict the future. Discover our elegant profile of wines by sampling a wide selection, all hand crafted by our father and son wine making team, Tom and Spencer Jones. Linsteadt Family Winery - Come visit Linsteadt Family Winery during Spring into Zin, where will be pouring our ‘18, ‘20, and ‘21 Zinfandels, along with a Barbera/Zinfandel blend, and Italian pasta salad.

Rombauer Vineyards - Join us to celebrate Spring at Rombauer Vineyards. Indulge in a delicious food pairing from the team at Taste Restaurant paired with our feature wine, El Dorado Zinfandel! We will also pour several other wines for you to enjoy on our beautiful, shaded patio with our musical talent, The Jason Weeks Duo. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Shenandoah Vineyards - Spring into Zin with Shenandoah Vineyards as we serve some of our award winning Zinfandels alongside delicious Italian appetizers.
